The Grace United Youth Group increased their profits by 67% by using the Little Green Money Machine book and business stand to raise money for their outreach programs!

 

 

 

Kids in Business Around the World in action

As a group they went through the Kids in Business Around the World book, where they learned the tricks of running their own carwash. They set their goal. They adjusted their pricing. They learned how to create advertising and attract more customers.  They created banners, yardsigns, and fliers to help spread the word.  Busy location? No problem. 

And on carwash day, they used the business stand to collect money and make change and also increased their advertising! Who can miss a bright green stand?

LGMM Kid of the Month

VIP Rep- Richard Vasquez, age 10, St. Paul, MN

Ricky Vasquez, age 10, and his friend Sam, age 11, started a Snack Shop in St. Paul, MN with the Little Green Money Machine. He learned how to start his own business with the book Kids in Business Around the World, and sold snacks every Saturday with the Little Green Money Machine business stand at weekly baseball games. Sam and Ricky earned over $400 to buy new bikes!

Del Visionaries flew Ricky and his mom out to New York city to Toy Fair and Ricky used the skills and know-how he learned to be the first VIP Sales Rep for the Little Green Money Machine at our tradeshow debut.

Katie Unkle, 15, is whipping up more than just chocolate cake in her family’s Southlake kitchen. She has one specialty: her grandmother’s delicious chocolate velvet torte. And the cake is her preferred weapon against autism.

"I don't think that people realize how frequently kids are diagnosed with autism and how many of them there are," she said.  "And they don't get as much support as people with other disabilities do." Read More

 

Crystals for a Cause

Fundraising for children's diseases isn't just for adults. Sixteen-year-old Rachel knows that first-hand. At 14, Rachel had a rare brain tumor. Now she's stringing crystals into bracelets and earrings for Children's Hospital Boston where doctors treated her tumor successfully. At age 10, Amiya Alexander is an entrepreneur — owner, founder and creator of Amiya’s Mobile Dance Academy, which travels around metro Detroit teaching kids hip-hop, ballet, tap, merengue and more.
